A Simply Incredible Artist

Marian Bantjes is simply one of the most incredible artists I have ever seen. I don't think there is one thing she has done that I haven't liked. They are undeniably unique and absolutely some of the most lovely things I have ever seen. She always does the most amazing things for Valentine's Day. Here is one of 4 fragments of a letter that she sent out in 2009. She composed them to have no beginning or end, and so that parts of it would resonate with almost everyone.

Seriously, have you ever seen anything so gorgeous in all your life?
Here is a link to the other fragments: http://www.bantjes.com/index.php?id=281

Here is a link to "Everything for Love" which she did in 2006: http://www.bantjes.com/index.php?id=36

And here is a link to the 150 hand drawn ones that she did in 2007:

Even if I had that kind of talent (which I don't!), I can't imagine ever being that prolific. But her talent is not limited to Valentine's Day. The variety of ways she creates art is simply incredible. Look at what she has done with sugar:

It is all simply amazing. The variety of textures she uses is astonishing, in and of itself. Go and check out the rest of her work. You will be utterly awed: http://bantjes.com/

Amusing Use of Technology

Here is a fun little game to amuse you. It's called Wordle and it makes word clouds. You can find it here:

Here is one from their website of the most common crossword answers:

Here is one I did with the song "What'll I Do" by Irving Berlin:

And here is one I did with the poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling

Go and try it. It's lots of fun!
